
News Release: HCCF RECOGNIZES 35TH ROUND OF GRANT AWARDS
The Harper County Community Foundation would like to officially recognize the recently awarded grant recipients for the May 2026 round. For this grant round, 47 grant applications were submitted to HCCF with a total of $365,991.20 requested. The Harper County Community Foundation awarded $166,149.24 to 36 organizations and projects that benefit Harper County.
These monies from the Waste Connection Landfill Revenues, Harper County Board of Commissioners, and HCCF’s unrestricted funds represent the 35th round of grants awarded since the inception of the granting program in May of 2009. The Foundation also awarded monies from their discretionary funds along with anonymously granting $46,500 to 12 organizations. A total of $4,142,741.00 has been awarded since the inception of this granting process.
Recipients of the May 2026 grant monies include Attica Public Schools for Bulldog Buddies Mentorship Program ($550), Bulldog P.R.I.D.E. Student Incentive & School Culture Program ($700), Back-to-School Bulldog Bash ($900), Athletics Department Updates ($900), StuCo Activities ($1,000), New Agriculture Curriculum ($1,250), Theater ($1,250), Art Classroom Supplies/Equipment and Fieldtrips ($1,500), Concessions Stand Update ($2,000), Break Boxes ($3,000), Storage for STUCO/Theater/Prom ($5,000); Anthony Recreation, Summer/Fall Programs ($4,000); Harper Elementary School, Physical Education Equipment ($1,000); Chaparral High School, Digital Keyboards for CHS Music/Choral Dept. ($1,950); USD 361, Lil Runners Early Childhood Center ($500), ELL Program for Enhancing Language Access Through Interactive Technology ($1,200), Art for Elementary ($10,000); Harper County T2C Program, Career Spotlights ($375), CNA Program ($1,340), Reality U Event ($2,898.24) & Welding Program ($4,386); VFW Post 11449 for Roof Replacement ($13,000); Horizons Mental Health Center, Housing Stability Support Program ($10,000); Harper County Genealogical Society, Harper County Historical Records Digitization ($1,700); The Arts Center, Inc., Performing Arts – Wichita Children’s Theatre Tour ($2,500); Anthony Kiwanis for their Kupboards Project ($3,000); Attica Rec Commission, Baseball Field Renovations ($5,000); Anthony Theatre, Inc., Tech Booth Upgrades ($1,000); HPCO HEART, Inc., Liberty on the Lake: 250th Celebration ($5,000) and Homegrown Market Swap ($1,500); Anthony Lake Advisory Board, Restroom and Shower House ($40,000); Anthony Public Library, Summer Reading Program ($950); Anthony Gun Club’s Shells Purchase for Shooting Sports ($5,000); Attica Saddle Club, Picnic Tables for Rodeo ($2,800); Harper County Core Community ($20,000); and Harper County Community HOPE ($9,000).
